| Emergency Tips |
|
| Always call the clinic if you are
uncertain if your pet requires immediate medical attention. |
|
| When a pet gets sick or is injured it’s only
natural for us to want to make him or her feel better. But it’s important to
remember that many of the medications that are commonly found around the house
are designed for humans and may actually do harm if they are given to a pet.
Never give your pet any medications except on the advice of your
veterinarian! |
|
| Pets often don’t show pain the way people do.
Sometimes a serious condition will develop and all that is noticeable is a little
odd behavior. If your pet starts acting strangely it generally means there is
something wrong. In most cases it’s false economy to ignore a problem at this
early stage. Watch your pet closely and record any specific symptoms you observe.
If you have any doubts about your pet’s condition call us for advice. You can
also go to our
Frequently Asked Questions page where we have listed some of the more common
pet emergencies that we treat. |
